What is the SWO Kinesio Grip Tape?

The SWO Kinesio Grip Tape is a kinesiology tape designed for Street Workout, Calisthenics and bodyweight athletes. It combines an elastic structure with a micro-adhesive texture to improve grip, control and stability on training surfaces.

More than a classic kinesiology tape, it becomes a real performance tool for bars, parallettes, rings and outdoor setups.

What is it used for?

Two main uses:

  • Grip enhancement: improves grip and stability on bars and equipment, limits slipping caused by sweat and increases control during static and dynamic movements.
  • Muscle & joint support: can be applied on the skin to support tendons and joints, reduce muscle tension and improve comfort and recovery after intense sessions.

Ideal for movements such as Front Lever, Handstand, explosive pull-ups, Max Holds, Planche and more.

On which surfaces does it work?

The SWO Kinesio Grip Tape is effective on:

Does it replace liquid chalk?

No. They serve different purposes.

Liquid chalk acts on the hands by drying them and improving friction, while the Grip Tape acts on the surface (bar, parallette or ring).

For optimal performance, both are fully complementary: tape on the bar and chalk on the hands.

How to use it on a bar (grip application)?
  1. Clean the bar to remove dust, grease and moisture.
  2. Start wrapping the tape around the bar, applying it with light tension.
  3. Wrap evenly, covering the bar in a regular pattern.
  4. SWO recommendation: apply a double layer by shifting each wrap by 2.5 cm (half the tape width). This creates a reinforced double-grip surface for better control and durability.
  5. Press firmly to activate the adhesive.
  6. Let it rest for 30 minutes before an intense training session.
How to use it on the skin (kinesiology use)?

Clean and dry the skin before application. Cut the desired length, round the edges and apply to the target area (wrists, elbows, shoulders, forearms, etc.).

Rub gently to activate the adhesive. Tip: avoid overstretching the tape if you are new to kinesiology taping, and remove it slowly after use.
